Ms. Jane Vong Holmes

  • Ms. Jane Vong Holmes
  • Chapter Chair
  • GainingEdge

Jane Vong Holmes is Senior Manager – Asia of GainingEdge, a consultancy specialising in the business events industry. In her current role, she takes care of GainingEdge’s relationships in Asia. She helped established GainingEdge’s signature events GainingLeads and GainingEdge Knowledge Exchange which takes place at IMEX Frankfurt every year.

Prior to joining GainingEdge, she was Asia Pacific lead (first as manager and later as Regional Director) for the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) for eight years. After she left ICCA in June 2009, her commitment to ICCA continued, and she subsequently sat on the ICCA Asia Pacific Chapter Executive Committee as joint Deputy Chair.  In 2022, she was elected Chapter Chair.

Jane had also worked in Malaysia’s National Tourist Office, Tourism Malaysia and served as the Deputy Director (Overseas) for Tourism Malaysia Sydney Office for four years.

In 2013, she was the proud recipient of the IMEX Academy Award – Asia Pacific.

Jane has co-authored two UNWTO publications on the Asia Meetings Industry in 2012 and 2017. She released a report on Universal Accessibility in The Meetings Industry in a joint project with BestCities Global Alliance and Rehabilitation International in 2018.

Jane believes that conventions can, and should, give back to their host communities.  Led by this conviction, she initiated the ICCA Members Gift of Love (GOL) CSR project which is linked with the annual ICCA Congress. The inaugural project started at ICCA Congress 2013. Since then, the ICCA Members GOL Project has contributed to NGOs and charities in Shanghai (China), Antalya (Turkey), Buenos Aires (Argentina), Kuching (Malaysia), Prague (Czech Republic), Dubai (UAE), Houston (USA), and Sarawak (Malaysia). These grassroots projects were made possible with the great support of the ICCA Local Host Committees, ICCA HQ, and the ICCA member delegates who brought their gifts of love to the annual ICCA congresses.
