AIME 2020 will be bringing together the right buyers with the right exhibitors from the Asia Pacific region and across the world at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre (MCEC) from 17 – 19 February 2020.

Across three vibrant days, AIME delivers the forum for connecting with a wide range of buyers and exhibitors, brought together with a common spirit of curiosity and desire to do great business together. The Hosted Buyer Program ensures that the buyers who attend Asia Pacific Incentives and Meetings Event are ready to do business while pre-scheduled appointment system will align over 14,000 meetings, matching buyers needs with the destinations and services on offer from over 400 exhibitors. In a friendly, welcoming environment when the key stakeholders in the industry gather, knowledge transfer and learning is fostered, and the power of connection and community are realised at AIME.

Strategic Approach to Building Meeting Legacies

Kicking off the show, in collaboration with GainingEdge, this workshop will be focusing on several key pointers such as identifying the difference between short-term meeting outcomes and mid-long term legacies from conventions, understanding what motivates associations when they hold conventions and how it can be linked to destination benefit and developing strategic approaches when hosting conventions in order to leverage on post-event legacies.

This session will be moderated by industry veterans, Gary Grimmer and Mike Williams of GainingEdge.

ICCA Business Exchange @AIME 2020

In conjunction with AIME, get immediate business leads when you take part in the ICCA Business Exchange (BE) as per details below:

What is a Business Exchange (BE)?

BE is a lead sharing session open to ICCA members only. Participants exchange critical information on events they have recently managed; information crucial to the bidding process such as contacts, budgets, and the decision-making process, as an insight for other members to learn for their future bidding.

How to register?

Members who wish to participate in the Business Exchange will need to register and submit one international association event. The Criteria for a lead for the BE at AIME:

- Your lead must attract at least 500 participants.
- Your lead must be held on a regular basis.
- Your lead must rotate around Asia Pacific between at least 3 different countries.
- You must have won the lead which you are proposing.
- In case of a past meeting, it should not have taken place more than 1 year ago (from Jan 2019 onwards and future meetings should not be more than 2 years)

Upon registration, each delegate will be requested to fill in an online form to provide data on one major international event they have recently been involved with, and to be willing to share their inside knowledge about this event with other participants.

ICCA Australia Chapter Meeting

ICCA Australia Chapter will host an informal meeting at AIME 2020. This meeting will hear from Senthil Gopinath, on his first visit to Australia as ICCA CEO. Senthil will update us on ICCA, how the association recruitment is going and how they support us in the region.
