The second edition of Global Meetings Industry Day takes place on Thursday 6 April. We take this opportunity to highlight the true value of international association meetings and communicate the professional, business, academic and economic outcomes they deliver.
Here are 5 ways you can get involved on GMID 2017:
1. Share your local advocacy campaigns
ICCA is encouraging all ICCA members worldwide to share their local advocacy campaigns, whenever they take place, and use GMID on 6 April as a platform to communicate and share success stories between countries.
2. Share stories of your destination on the Iceberg and in ICCA’s Knowledge Hub
ICCA and recently-launched industry-wide advocacy platform "The Iceberg" are partnering up to spread the word on the true value of meetings. If you send us your story in advance, we will include it in our “Value of meetings” page in the Knowledge Hub on our website and will promote through ICCA’s online channels on GMID 2017. Please submit your stories to The Iceberg website by sending them Robert Coren of The Iceberg: curator@the-iceberg.org.
3. Submit your association meeting to the JMIC case study program
Join an elite group of recognised, high profile events to serve as examples to the meetings industry and submit your case study together with your association client: http://www.iccaworld.org/knowledge/benefit.cfm?benefitid=5220
4. Use hashtag #GMID17
On 6 April, use hashtag #GMID17 to share your advocacy efforts with the world. Please also use our community hashtag #ICCAWorld se we can amplify your messages to the #ICCAWorld community.
5. Have a look at the GMID page for background information and campaign material.
