Pharmaceutical companies paid British doctors more than £40m in 2012 in hosting them for events, service fees and travel expenses, new figures from the Association of British Pharmaceutical Industry (ABPI) have revealed.
The figure has been calculated on the information received from 35 out of 44 of the top pharmaceutical companies based on UK sales in 2012, and shows just how much companies pay doctors to market their drugs.
