Meetings ambassadors worth £500m to Edinburgh

Edinburgh’s Ambassador Programme has generated £510 million (€650m) for the city in a decade.

The scheme, which uses a range of experts and academics to help bring conferences to the Scottish capital, was celebrated with the annual Ambassadors’ Dinner at the Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa. Among the 115 guests were some of the city’s 500 ambassadors, including representatives of the University of Edinburgh, Royal Hospital for Sick Children, Edinburgh Centre for Carbon Innovation, and Moredun Research Institute.
