ICCA Congress: a showcase of association leadership and innovation
Each association's dream is to become the leading association in its field and its main meeting to become the main industry event of the year! By introducing new technologies every year, trying out new meetings formats at each congress and setting trends for its members, the ICCA Congress has indeed become the leading event for international association meetings! Speakers at this years’ ICCA Congress in Buenos Aires come from various industries and include many leading association executives such as: Jens Bungardt – World Federation of Haemophilia -WFH; Tom Reiser – International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis -ISTH; Rafael Hirschfeld – International Financial Cryptography Association - IFCA; Helga Severyns – International Association of Public Transport - UITP; Silke Schlinnertz – Euroheat & Power; Prof. Salvatore Di Somma – GREAT network.

New White paper launched – “Crisis Management for Meetings”
In cooperation with Safehotels Alliance, ICCA has launched a new white paper designed for association executives to plan, prepare, manage, and recover from any crisis situation. The paper equally provides crisis management direction and guidelines to meetings management companies an association is engaged with e.g. Association Management Companies (AMCs), Professional Congress Organisers (PCOs), Destination Management Companies (DMCs), Hotel and Conference Venues. Trends in International Association Meetings from North America 2015 Survey Report
Meeting planners reported a strong year in 2014 for international association meetings outside of North America, according to a new survey report by Marketing Challenges International (MCIntl). With a growing economy in the United States and consecutive years of increasing meeting attendance and budgets, the mood looks optimistic for 2015 and beyond. More than half of planners ignorant of meetings programmes
Almost two-thirds of senior decision-makers do not have, or don’t know if they have, an integrated travel, meetings and events policy.
Research carried out by travel management and events company the APTI Group indicated that companies were realising the value of consolidating their travel, events and meeting programmes.
