Uber wants to be your event transportation company

Car-hailing service Uber has just taken its new UberEvents service nationwide, allowing event hosts to prepay for Uber rides for their guests.
Using the service, event planners can provide customized Uber passes that have the option of being restricted to specific dates, times, and locations. The passes can be set with a maximum dollar amount and restricted geographically so they’re good for rides originating only within a quarter-mile of your event venue. Hosts pay only for the rides that are actually taken, and only for the amount of the ride, not the set maximum.
