How transient travelers are messing up meetings
The ever-quotable Michael Dominguez, senior vice president and chief sales officer, MGM International, launched a recent keynote presentation with a favorite quotation: “In the new world, it is not the big fish which eats the little fish, it’s the fast fish which eats the slow fish.” This is from Klaus Schwab, founder of the World Economic Forum (often referred to simply as “Davos”).
In the meetings industry, Dominguez said, “we don’t move fast enough. It took us 40 years to figure out that the bed was an important part of the guest room.”
