Smartphones: 40 percent of organisers would favour a ban
The disruptive nature of mobiles has led many organisers to favour a strict ‘no device’ policy, according to a survey by IMEX America and MPI, the meeting planners association.
The survey found that 40 per cent of respondents agreed that ‘to maximize attention, delegates should be banned from using personal devices during conference sessions and meetings: they should be told to switch them off and put them away before the meeting starts.’
