Research puts some science behind scientific meetings

Healthcare professionals still value meetings as prime ways to connect with peers and learn about scientific breakthroughs from key opinion leaders. But a recent study of physician perceptions of medical meetings indicate that it would be a mistake to conclude that the industry will remain healthy indefinitely.
After all, legislation such as Open Payments in the U.S. and the European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations Code in Europe have erected new barriers to HCP attendance at medical meetings with their physician spend tracking and reporting requirements.
