Researcher of the Month

The red update button is your friend! The more you use it, the more concrete information you get. ICCA members - together with the ICCA team - are working hard to achieve a mutually beneficial situation of sharing information on the ICCA Association Database.

Keep finding ways to press it and you'll be in the running to become the next Researcher of the Month - or even Researcher of the Year!

Frank Pflugfelder Business Development Manager at Hamburg Convention Bureau,  has secured the coveted title this month! Here's what Rachael had to say:

How is the ICCA database beneficial for your work/organization?

It is, besides other sources, a very useful tool to identify potential association meetings for your own destination. Especially in the last two years, when many congress editions had to be canceled, shifted into hybrid/pure online events or have been postponed. The result was a shift concerning the next open year for your destination.
The ICCA database has become during that period an even more important source to get the most updated rotation and pattern for your future sales activities.

Do you have any tips for your fellow ICCA members?

Nothing as simple as this: At least 1x per week I am visiting the ICCA database. The more ICCA members are following my simple advice, the better the real-time dates at the database are. The result will be, ALL of us will have more success in identifying potential association meetings for the own destination.
That sounds convincing, doesn’t it.

What positive message would you like to share with ICCAWorld

Besides going to work (or work from home) on weekdays, it is important to spent time with your friends and family, enjoy great food, read a good book and practice some indoor/outdoor exercises on a regular basis. And in addition, block some business-free times (e.g. weekend) or enjoy digital detox for a few hours.

Private life and business time is not either or: it is a combination of both worlds that brings the best results. If you like, call it your personal “Yin & Yang”.
Do you have your own balanced Y&Y?
