How is the ICCA database beneficial for your work/organization?

We always understood the value and work being done by the association as we are also part of one - Associação Turismo de Lisboa.  We are ICCA members since July 1990  longtime partners and enthusiasts.

The scope of the ICCA database is remarkable -we can do comparison reports, learn from the insightful surveys and reports.

It also allows us to search for new potential business and define strategies ; to follow the last updates on opportunities for Lisboa.

By using frequently ICCA’s red button disciplined me as a Researcher. As a Researcher, I understand the value/importance of contributing data to the ICCA Database , making it a win-win scenario for researchers and the destinations.

Do you have any tips for your fellow ICCA members?

The ICCA database is a really great source, having Congress calendars updated on a regular basis is really important , so use more frequently the red button - knowledge sharing is key!  

When prospecting, the process is much easier and efficient if the information for the meeting you’re researching is up to date. It provides a better understanding whether a particular meeting is a good fit for the destination and allows reliable knowledge for all ICCA members.  

What positive message would you like to share with ICCA World (Doesn’t have to be about work/database/research)

Engagement, empathy, more flexible and adaptable minds will bring you closer to your client’s needs and goals.

A special thanking note to the ICCA Researchers/team – I absolutely adore the time of the year when we have to work harder as researchers to provide all the needed information for the ICCA rankings – so you have my total respect and admiration! This is hard work , but it totally compensates!

In the end the database is an excellent tool, and it makes researching so much easier if the most recent information is available.
