Researcher of the Month - April 2021

The red update button is your friend! The more you use it, the more concrete information you get. ICCA members - together with the ICCA team - are working hard to achieve a mutually beneficial situation of sharing information on the ICCA Association Database.

Keep finding ways to press it and you'll be in the running to become the next Researcher of the Month - or even Researcher of the Year!

Marian Tabera, Bid Researcher & Event Pipeline Executive, Business Events, VisitBritain/VisitEngland, has secured the coveted title this month! Here's what Marian had to say:

How is the ICCA database beneficial for your work/organisation?
ICCA database is key in my daily work routine as it provides an overview of thousands of potential international meetings, therefore, I can easily identify future business for my destinations in the UK - leading to increased delegate numbers, economic impact and trade & investments opportunities.

Do you have any tips for your fellow ICCA members?
Do your research on the database on a daily basis and compare the information against the official website of the event. Update the information on the database if it is necessary, as this will help to have a healthy platform that all of us can benefit from. Use the destination comparison tool to improve your knowledge of the market and generate market intelligence on different destinations. This will help you understand the industry during these difficult times due to Covid-19.

What positive message would you like to share with ICCAWorld?

Although this has been a challenging year for all of us, I have great expectations for 2021 in getting our industry back on track. People working on events are resilient and remain positive. I am sure that we will emerge from this situation stronger than ever before!
